Description
A simple 5-ingredient recipe for juicy, crispy chicken thighs glazed in a sticky, sweet, and spicy honey Sriracha sauce. Perfect for fast weeknight dinners with big flavor and minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 4–6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup (85g) honey
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) Sriracha sauce
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tablespoon)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil. Place chicken thighs skin-side down and cook without moving for 6-7 minutes until skin is golden and crisp. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes.
- While the chicken sears, mix honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken in the skillet. Transfer to a preheated 400°F (200°C) oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, basting once or twice with the sauce. Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Optional: Broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes at the end for extra crispy skin, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Serve hot, spooning extra sticky sauce from the pan over the chicken.
Notes
Pat chicken dry for crispy skin. Don’t rush searing to avoid tearing skin. Adjust heat to prevent sauce burning. Baste sauce during baking for sticky layers. Use bone-in, skin-on thighs for best flavor and juiciness. Leftovers reheat well with a splash of water or broth. Optional broil step crisps skin further.
