Sparkling Blueberry Lavender Lemonade

  • Author: SOFIA
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

A bright, bubbly, and refreshing homemade lemonade with a perfect balance of floral lavender and fruity blueberries, made with simple ingredients and sparkling water.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (150g) or thawed frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • 1 cup water (240ml) for syrup
  • 3 cups water (720ml) for diluting
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 lemons, 240ml)
  • 34 cups sparkling water (720-960ml)
  • Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
  • Fresh lavender sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, 1 cup water, and dried lavender. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let simmer for 7-8 minutes until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens slightly.
  2. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes to deepen lavender flavor.
  3. Strain syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher, pressing solids to extract syrup. Discard solids.
  4. While syrup is steeping, juice lemons to yield about 1 cup fresh lemon juice. Strain out seeds but keep pulp if desired.
  5. In a pitcher or large bowl, stir together blueberry lavender syrup, lemon juice, and 3 cups cold water. Adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more water or syrup as needed.
  6. Just before serving, add 3-4 cups chilled sparkling water to lemonade base. Stir gently to combine without losing fizz.
  7. Pour into glasses filled with ice and garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use culinary-grade dried lavender to avoid soapy taste. Let syrup steep off heat for 10 minutes for balanced floral notes. Fresh lemon juice is essential for brightness. Syrup can be made ahead and stored in fridge up to 4 days. Adjust sweetness after mixing all ingredients. Use sparkling water for fizz or still water for classic lemonade. Garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs for visual appeal.
