Description
These easy BBQ ground beef sliders are the perfect party food, requiring only four main ingredients and 15 minutes to make. They are sweet, smoky, and customizable, making them a crowd-pleasing appetizer or casual meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 fat ratio recommended)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 12–16 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or soft potato buns)
- Shredded cheese (optional, cheddar or pepper jack)
- Red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
- Pickle chips (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef.
- Break the beef into small crumbles and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease if desired.
- Pour in the BBQ sauce and stir to coat the meat. Simmer for 2 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
- Place a generous spoonful of the beef mixture on the bottom half of each bun.
- Add cheese and optional toppings like red onion or pickles.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
For best results, toast the buns lightly in butter to prevent sogginess. You can make the beef mixture ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days. Keep assembled sliders warm in a 200°F oven if making a large batch. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
