Homemade Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam

  • Author: SOFIA
  • Total Time: 2 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A simple, 3-ingredient recipe for rich and fluffy vanilla sweet cream cold foam that costs pennies to make and tastes better than coffee shop versions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 12 teaspoons simple syrup or sugar (optional)
  • A tiny pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill the heavy cream and milk in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes to ensure they are very cold.
  2. Combine the heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, and optional sweeteners/salt in a small mason jar or shaker bottle with a tight lid.
  3. Secure the lid tightly to prevent leaks.
  4. Shake the jar vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the mixture thickens and holds its shape, or use an electric frother for 20-30 seconds.
  5. Fill a tall glass with ice and your favorite cold brew or iced coffee.
  6. Slowly pour the foam over the back of a spoon or directly into the glass to create a distinct layer on top.
  7. Enjoy immediately, either sipping the foam intact or stirring it into the coffee.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are very cold for best results. Do not over-shake or the cream will turn into butter. The foam can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days in a sealed jar, though it will thicken and should be shaken before use. For dairy-free options, use full-fat coconut cream.
