Description
A quick, 5-minute breakfast shake that combines peanut butter, chocolate protein powder, and frozen banana for a creamy, satisfying meal that keeps you full until lunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or whole/oat milk)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (whey or plant-based)
- 2 tablespoons creamy natural peanut butter
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- A small handful of spinach (optional)
Instructions
- Prep ingredients: Ensure the banana is frozen. Measure out peanut butter, protein powder, and vanilla.
- Add liquids first: Pour the almond milk into the blender to help the blades spin freely and prevent clumping.
- Add solids: Add the frozen banana, peanut butter, protein powder, vanilla extract, and optional spinach to the blender.
- Blend: Secure the lid and blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth.
- Adjust consistency: If too thick, add more milk. If too thin, add more ice. Taste and add honey if more sweetness is desired.
- Serve: Pour immediately into a glass and drink right away for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
For best texture, use frozen banana chunks. If using a regular blender, blend longer to ensure smoothness. The shake is best consumed immediately as it may separate if stored. For meal prep, pre-portion dry ingredients into freezer bags.
