Blended Frozen Mocha Frappe: Best Homemade Coffee Drink

  • Author: SOFIA
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A thick, creamy, and rich homemade mocha frappe that tastes better than coffee shop versions and costs a fraction of the price. This simple blended drink requires just a few ingredients and a blender.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 shot espresso (30ml) or ½ cup cold brew concentrate
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes (packed)
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate sauce or syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
  • Sugar or sweetener (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Brew espresso or cold brew coffee and allow it to cool completely to room temperature or chill in the refrigerator. Do not use hot coffee.
  2. If the chocolate sauce is cold and thick, stir it or microwave briefly to loosen it for easier measuring.
  3. Add the milk, chocolate sauce, vanilla extract, and cooled coffee to the blender.
  4. Add the ice cubes on top of the liquid ingredients.
  5. Secure the blender lid and start on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for 30-60 seconds until the mixture is smooth and slushy.
  6. Pour the frappe into a tall glass.
  7. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
  8. Serve immediately with a wide straw.

Notes

Use cold coffee to prevent the ice from melting too quickly. If the drink is too thick, add a splash of milk; if too thin, add more ice. For a richer texture, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This drink is best consumed immediately as it does not hold its texture well if stored.
